QSPI / Quad-SPI flash controller

Priority 2 - Microcontroller & SoC Peripherals / 2.2 Serial buses

As a device-driver developer, I want vemu to finish its QSPI / Quad-SPI flash controller model, so that I can depend on xIP/external flash for production firmware, not just the common path.

Why it matters

XIP/external flash

Summary

x4 memory-mapped flash

Scope of work

Partially modeled. Complete the missing mechanics of QSPI / Quad-SPI flash controller. What it is: x4 memory-mapped flash. Why it matters: XIP/external flash.

Current state

Status: Partially implemented. Notes / evidence: RK/DW FSPI full (drives a real SPI-NAND, boots it); nRF QSPI is a controller behavioral model (handshake+EasyDMA+events) with no flash backend; STM32 OSPI stubbed.
